Backbone has been contracted by The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) to find out from women who have experienced family violence (including in dating relationships and relationships where there are no children involved) what longer term support and services women and their children need in New Zealand to help them recover and rebuild their lives. The Friendly Face Initiative
Our Centre is launching a new ‘Friendly Face’ peer support project, which we hope will make a difference to a lot of people; of course we hope our faces are always friendly! From 10am to 3pm every day a volunteer will be available here for a chat, practical information or a cup of tea! Don’t be surprised if someone approaches you – it’s all part of building our friendly women’s community here at the Heretaunga Women’s Centre.
