We are very excited that from 11:59pm tonight those of us outside of the Auckland region, will move to Delta Level 2. This means that the Heretaunga Women’s Centre will be open again from tomorrow, Wednesday 8 September, but there will be some rules and restrictions in place:
You must sign in to be able to come into the Centre. You can do this either by scanning the QR Code that is on our front door and also in the reception area; or sign the record keeping sign in sheet in the entrance way.
Masks must be worn at all times.
Physical distancing of two metres must be maintained at all times.
While you are in the Centre please continue to adhere to safe hygiene practices, which include good hand washing, the use of hand sanitiser that will be made available, and the disposal of tissues etc. in rubbish bins.
No more than 50 people will be permitted to be inside the Centre at any one time.
Counselling appointments have been going ahead during the lockdown period remotely, by phone and online platforms and will resume face to face at the Centre from tomorrow. If you would prefer your counselling appointments continue remotely during Delta Level 2 please let us know and we will make arrangements for you to continue to be supported by phone/online.
Our Term 3 activities, groups, workshops and therapies will continue at the Centre from Monday 13 September, provided we are able to ensure safe hygiene practices and physical distancing. We will get in touch with anyone registered for activities that are unable to go ahead under Delta Level 2.
At Delta Level 2 our kindness shelf and clothing rack will unfortunately be unavailable. However, hopefully this is a short term measure just for the next week or so.
If you have any questions or are registered for a course or appointment and are not sure if it will be going ahead, please feel free to get in touch with us on
020 4085 6695 or 06 878 5401 (from Wednesday) or admin@hwc.nz
We look forward to seeing you at the Centre soon!
Kia kaha, take care and stay safe.
